Founded by Pozitif in 1999 in an emerging neighborhood at the heart of Istanbul, Babylon has been home to the very best in progressive music since its conception. It has transformed the city’s music scene and became its hub for international and local music culture. We created a new campaign for Babylon for its 2019 season, which became one of our most acclaimed projects.

The idea at the core of the campaign was “Babylon’s music opens people up.” The key visuals featured surreal images of solitary figures, representing the loneliness and the many states of mind we constantly fall in and out of. Such modern day sentiments, which we can all relate to, were exaggerated and interpreted from a contemporary point of view.

The venue launched its new season with the motto “You open Babylon!” We created a visual language enriched with music for the rest of the communication.

The second leg of the communication was based on the motto “Open yourself!” We focused on the individual and social benefits of good music & of Babylon in general. The entire communication strategy both added value to the brand and enriched the industry.

Babylon 2019 Launch Key Visuals

We built the campaign on the idea of “Babylon music opens up people”. Surreal images on the key visuals represent loneliness and various states of minds that time to time we all fell into. They were exaggerated and contemporary interpretations of modern-day sentiments that everyone can easily relate to.
